I'll do this in English, because it is a blogpost for international purposes. As I blogged earlier this week, we had a blast at the ACME Superstore in Longwood, Florida (please read the entry, if you haven't done so already). Lots and losts of comics over there and almost even more toys, statues, action figures and other stuff were available. But what makes a good store a great store are the people who run the place and ACME Superstore has a very knowledgable and enthousiastic staff, who make you feel at home right away. There is good advice to be had over there, without the staff being pushy about buying certain books. If they want you to buy somethng, it's because they themselves really like the book!
We spoke to Todd Fischer, who runs the store and was kind enough to entertain us with a small a small interview, in which we posed him our regular questions, when visiting a shop. These being: what are your three all time favorite comics and what are the three highest recommendations concerning comic books being published now. Todd was kind enough to answer these questions, and his answers can be seen on video. I tried to embed it here, but because of the size, I had to switch it to YouTube, but you can see the video by clicking this link. There's some good advice in there, so please make sure you watch the interview!! By the way, Todd is also an old school horror movie buff and really recommends you watching John Carpenters The Thing and Trick or Treat (which score 5.2 on IMDBm shows you what they know :-).
Again, thanks to Todd for doing the interview and as a closer, I can only repeat what I said earlier on about ACME Superstore: if you're looking for comics, collector toys and memorabilia, this is the place to be in Florida. Highest recommendations!
